Madeline currently holds the position of Director of Bands for Northumberland County Public Schools in Heathsville, VA, where she teaches instrumental music to both middle and high school students. Previously, she was the Director of Bands at the Brookstone School in Columbus, GA. She also maintains a private horn studio and has worked as a brass instructor at local Fairfax County, Kansas City, Muscogee County, and Lee County high schools, and has served as Instructor of Horn at the Judith Lapple Summer Music Festival and Woodwind Camp in Fairfax, VA.
More recently, she was featured as a guest lecturer for the 2020 East Tennessee State University Brass Day, where she gave a presentation on composing for brass, as well as getting started as a composer. She was also an artist-in-residence for the 2020 Judith Lapple Summer Music Festival and Woodwind Camp, giving a lecture on performance considerations from a composer’s perspective. She was also commissioned by the festival to compose a piece for the woodwind choir titled, Blue Horizon, which was premiered in July of 2020.
