Madeline was feature as the Composer-in-Residence and commissioned to write the work, Blue Horizon, for the Festival Showcase. She was also a guest artist for the festival's Aspects of Artistry and Career Hour classes.

"Call for Scores" Winner

Put Me To Rest, for Bass Trombone and Piano, was chosen as one of the winning pieces to be premiered at the 2019 International Trombone Festival Composer's Workshop at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana on July 13, 2019.

2019 subtle cheetah

"Call for Scores" Winner

September 1, 2019

Grip It and Rip It! was composed for brass quintet and selected as one of the winning works in the subtle cheetah inaugural Call for Scores. This piece will be premiered by the group on February 15, 2020.

2019 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S BRASS CONFERENCE "CALL FOR SCORES" WINNER

March 15, 2019

Madeline A. Lee was recently named the winner of the 2019 IWBC "Call for Scores" hosted by Dr. Maria Serkin and John R. Beck. Atrevida, for horn, marimba, and non-pitched percussion will be premiered at the conference in Tempe, Arizona on May 25, 2019.

2018 FREDERICKSBURG BRASS COMPOSITION COMPETITION WINNER

The Fair Hero, composed for Brass Ensemble, was selected as the winner of the 2018 FredBrass Composition Competition. The work will be premiered at the FredBrass Institute on July 15, 2018.

2020 ETSU Brass Day Guest Artist

As a guest artist at the East Tennessee State University Brass Day, Madeline presented a lecture on composing and arranging, and conducted the mass brass choir in their performance of her piece, The Fair Hero.
